Noise/ Party Ordinance

In February 2005 a new law came into effect called the Probationary Rental Occupancy Permit (PROP) Ordinance. Under this ordinance, landlords can be penalized or prevented from renting properties that have been cited for zoning or Noise Party Ordinance (NPO) violations. Therefore we at Badger Properties are advising our tenants of these new regulations. The tenants must understand that any violations of the NPO must be reported to Badger Properties within 24 hours. Failure to report NPO violations may result in eviction proceedings. Convicions under the NPO regulations may also result in eviction proceedings and may also subject the tenants to additional liability for costs incurred by Badger Properties.

Tenants responsibilites:

  1. Report any unsafe situations immediately (electrical, structural, etc...)
  2. Maintain the yard in proper fashion (grass cut, no debris)
  3. Park only in designated parking areas or on the street as appropriate.
  4. Avoid any excessive noise or parties (see PROP FAQ & Process Flow)
